This Personal Data Processing Policy is adopted in compliance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 and related regulations, and applies to all personal data processed by the school in the course of its academic and commercial activities.
1. Data controller

2. Purposes of processing
- Academic management: enrollment, class scheduling, attendance tracking, assessment, issuance of certificates and monitoring of student progress.
- Administrative and financial management: invoicing, collection, management of payments, balances and refunds.
- Service communications: confirmations, reminders and administrative notices related to the services purchased.
- Marketing: sending offers, news and invitations only with the data subject's prior consent, which may be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.
- Legal and educational reporting obligations: reports to the Colombian education information system for ETDH institutions (SIET) and other obligations before education authorities.
- Visa processing: when requested by the student, management of the visa file and transmission of the acceptance letter and supporting documents to Migración Colombia and/or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
3. Data subject rights (habeas data)
Under Article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, data subjects have the right to:
- Know which data we process and how it is used.
- Update and correct inaccurate, incomplete or outdated data.
- Request deletion of data where no legal or contractual duty requires its retention.
- Withdraw the authorization granted, under the same conditions.
- Request proof of authorization and file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
4. Authorization
Authorization for processing is obtained in a prior and informed manner at the time of enrollment, purchase or registration through our forms (physical or digital), and may be given in writing, orally or through unequivocal conduct. We keep evidence of the authorization granted.
5. Data of minors
Personal data of children and adolescents is processed only with the authorization of their legal representative, respecting the best interests of the minor and their fundamental rights, and for purposes linked to the provision of the educational service.
6. International transfers
Some of our technology providers (cloud hosting, email, messaging, payment gateway) may store or process data outside Colombia. In such cases we require adequate contractual safeguards and levels of protection consistent with Colombian regulations.
7. Inquiries and claims
Data subjects, their successors or representatives may submit inquiries and claims by writing to [email protected] or at any of our campuses, stating their name, ID number, a description of the request and contact details.
- Inquiries: answered within a maximum of ten (10) business days, extendable by five (5) additional business days upon notice to the data subject.
- Claims: answered within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days, extendable by eight (8) additional business days upon notice to the data subject. If a claim is incomplete, the applicant will be asked to complete it within the following five (5) days.
8. Validity
This policy is effective as of its publication and remains in force for as long as the school processes personal data. Databases are retained for the duration of the relationship with the data subject and any applicable legal periods. Any substantial change will be duly communicated to data subjects.
