Fernando Botero gave Medellín more than a hundred works on one condition: that the museum entrance face the plaza where his sculptures live. The result is one of the most beloved museums in Colombia.
We walk the collection talking about volume, humour and politics — Botero is much more than "chubby figures" — and finish in the plaza, practicing the art vocabulary we just learned. The museum entry fee is paid separately and may vary by season.
