Cookie policy
Last updated August 23, 2026
This policy explains which cookies mrfoxspanish.com uses, what they are for and how you can decide about them. A cookie is a small file your browser stores to remember something between visits: your language, your cart or your choice about this very policy.
1. Necessary cookies
These cookies make the site work and do not require your consent. They do not identify you as a person and are not used for advertising.
- mf_locale (1 year): remembers the language you chose to browse the site.
- mf_country (1 year): approximate country detected from the network, used to suggest the right phone prefix and content.
- mf_did (400 days): a random technical identifier for your browser, used for security and fraud prevention (for example, limits on trial class bookings). It contains no personal data.
- mf_ref (90 days): if you arrive through a partner's link, it remembers their code so the referral can be attributed.
- mf_upsell (3 days): if you click on a recommendation on the site, it remembers which one so we know whether it was useful to you.
- mf_consent (12 months): stores your choice about this policy.
- mf_prefs (6 months): remembers your purchase preferences (course language, level if you took the placement test) to suggest suitable plans.
- Short session cookies that avoid showing you the same notice twice and keep recommendations stable during a visit; they expire when you close the browser.
2. Browser local storage
Your shopping cart and, if you type them in, your contact details so you do not have to re-enter them, are kept in your browser's local storage. That information stays on your device and is only sent to the school when you complete a purchase or a form.
3. Analytics
We use Google Analytics (the _ga cookie, up to 2 years) to measure visits and understand which pages work best, and we remember the pages you visited to fine-tune the recommendations we show you. This measurement is on by default: it is the school's legitimate interest to understand how its site is used, it is never used for third-party advertising, and we tell you about it in the notice shown on your first visit.
4. How to turn it off
You can block or delete analytics cookies from your browser settings (or with a blocking extension) and the site will keep working exactly the same. You can also write to [email protected] to exercise your rights over this data.
5. Your rights
Personal data processing is governed by Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and by our Personal Data Processing Policy. If you have any questions, write to [email protected].
