Mister Fox Spanish School is a licensed ETDH institution (Secretaría de Educación de Pereira). That is why our acceptance letters work for your student visa.
Many places in Colombia call themselves a school. Few hold a government licence, and for a student visa that difference matters, because the file needs a letter from a recognized institution. Here is what our accreditation covers and where you can check it yourself.
What a licensed school means in Colombia
In Colombia, job-oriented and personal-development education is regulated as ETDH (Educación para el Trabajo y el Desarrollo Humano), and language schools fall into that category. To operate legally, a school needs two separate government acts: a licence for the institution itself and a registration for each program it teaches.
We hold both. Resolution 6784 of September 19, 2022 granted our operating licence, and Resolution 005093 of July 23, 2024 registered our Spanish program, levels A1 to C1 aligned with the CEFR. Both were issued by the Secretaría de Educación Municipal de Pereira, the local education authority that supervises us.
Our legal entity is Mister Fox Group S.A.S. BIC, NIT 901.481.515-2, and the licensed campus is in Pereira, Carrera 11B #1A-40, La Rebeca. Licensed institutions and their programs are recorded in SIET, the Ministry of Education’s public information system for ETDH, so you can look the school up yourself.
Why this matters for your student visa
Colombia’s type V student visa requires proof of enrollment at a recognized institution with a real study load. Our licence and registered program give you that proof, and our Visa Programs match the intensity the application expects. The letter names the program, the CEFR level, the study load in academic hours and the dates it covers. It carries our NIT and resolution number, and a QR code lets the officer verify it online.

What we are, and what we are not
We are a language school, not a university: the documents we issue are certificates of completion for each registered level. The licence covers the school as an institution, based in Pereira; the Medellín locations in Laureles and Belén and the online classes use the same registered program and the same teachers.

Is Mister Fox Spanish School officially licensed in Colombia?
Yes. Resolution 6784 of 2022 granted our operating licence and Resolution 005093 of 2024 registered our Spanish program, A1 to C1. Both were issued by the Secretaría de Educación Municipal de Pereira, and you can check them in SIET, the public register.
Can your acceptance letter be used for the Colombia student visa?
Yes. As a licensed ETDH school we issue the carta de aceptación ourselves once you reserve a Visa Program. The visa itself is decided by the Colombian authorities; we cannot promise the outcome, but we guide you through the process and tell you which documents the file needs.
Do you grant university degrees or diplomas?
No. Like every ETDH institution, we issue official certificates of completion for each registered level, A1 to C1, and no language school in our category grants a degree. They document your studies and your class load for the visa file and for a later renewal.
Where is your licensed campus?
In Pereira, La Rebeca, where our academic operation is based. Classes also run at our Medellín locations in Laureles (Carrera 76 #41-07) and Belén (Cl. 32F #74B-136), and live online. If you study in Medellín, the letter still comes from the licensed school in Pereira.
