DELE exam preparation in Colombia

You can speak good Spanish and still fail the DELE. It is a timed exam with its own format, and the candidates who pass are the ones who trained for that format. Our DELE track does that work: native teachers, real mock exams and a plan level by level from B1 to C1.
What the DELE is
The DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) is the official Spanish certificate issued by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of Spain. Universities, employers and immigration authorities recognize it, and unlike most language certificates it never expires. You sit the exam for one CEFR level, from A1 to C2, and you pass that level or you do not.
The DELE does not measure your level; it tests the level you chose. Register too high and you lose the fee and months of motivation; register too low and the certificate undersells you. Many candidates register for the level they hope to have rather than the level they have today. The first thing we do together is get that decision right.
Native teachers at a licensed school
Mister Fox Spanish School is licensed as an ETDH institution (Secretaría de Educación de Pereira), with a Spanish program registered from A1 to C1 on the CEFR scale, the same scale the DELE uses. Your preparation is not a playlist of videos: it is a structured program taught by native speakers who correct you in every class and who know what examiners reward and what they penalize.

Train all four skills as the exam grades them
The DELE grades reading, listening, writing and speaking separately, and a weak skill can sink the whole exam. Self-taught candidates over-train reading, because it is comfortable, and under-train speaking and timed writing, because they are not. The exam does not care which task you preferred; our preparation brings the balance back and gives the uncomfortable tasks the hours they need.

Prepare from Medellín, Pereira or anywhere
You can prepare in person at our three campuses, Medellín Laureles (Carrera 76 #41-07), Medellín Belén (Cl. 32F #74B-136) and Pereira (Carrera 11B #1A-40, La Rebeca), or live online with the same teachers and the same method. Classes run Monday to Friday, and Laureles and Pereira also open on Saturday mornings. DELE preparation: frequently asked questions
Which DELE levels do you prepare?
B1, B2 and C1, the levels most often required by universities and employers, and for citizenship procedures. If you are not sure which one to target, start with the free level test and we will recommend one based on the result and on what you need the diploma for.
Do you administer the DELE exam itself?
No. Accredited Instituto Cervantes exam centers administer it on official dates, a few times a year. We prepare you for it, help you read the registration calendar so you pick a realistic date, and plan the weeks of preparation backwards from that date.
How long does DELE preparation take?
It depends on the gap between your current level and your target level, which is what the diagnostic mock exam measures. Someone close to the level may need a few weeks of format training; someone a level below needs months. We give you an estimate after the diagnostic, not a one-size-fits-all promise.
Can I prepare online?
Yes. Online classes are live with the same native teachers, including timed writing correction and oral exam simulations by video. Many candidates mix in-person and online weeks depending on travel and work; private and online classes can be rescheduled with 24 hours of notice.
Is the DELE valid forever?
Yes. DELE diplomas do not expire, so the certificate you earn stays valid for every university application, job or immigration procedure in the years to come. That is one reason candidates choose it over tests that have to be retaken after a couple of years.
